2024 Year in Review

Thanks to our amazing community, dues-paying WPHCA members, and our hard-working WPHCA volunteers and Board, 2024 was a very productive year! We not only hosted or supported many events and initiatives, but added numerous activities to the calendar, like our new book club and holiday caroling., some which hopefully will occur annually going forward and some which will or may be recurring throughout the year. Our WPHCA Facebook group provides the valuable service of connectivity and communication. We are thrilled to see so many of you active and involved on the Facebook page and appreciate your contributions and the level of respect, kindness, and decorum when posting and commenting.

The WPHCA hosts simple events and activities that keep people informed, bring people together, and keep our neighborhoods vibrant and thriving. In 2024 we are proud to have offered the following events, activities, and initiatives.

  •      Neighborhood Wide Yard Sale

  •      Scholarship Award to a deserving WPHS Senior from the Highlands

  •      Native Plant Lecture

  •      Book Club Launch

  •      Pollinator Garden Tour

  •      Summer Family Fun Picnic

  •      Wine Tasting

  •      Triangle Garden Dedication

  •      Halloween Party

  •      Christmas Caroling

  •      Facebook Page, Website, and Garden Maintenance throughout the year

  •     Ongoing communication with City and the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CNA) regarding hospital expansion and other issues affecting our community.
