Caroling in the Highlands
Fa La La La La!
On a chilly Sunday evening in December we had our first ever Caroling in the Highlands - and it was so much fun! A big shout out to all the neighbors who braved the cold and listened or sang along at each location! Wanted to share this perfect recap of the night from one of our long-time residents whose family has been in the Highlands for multiple generations.
“There are times when I am sure we each look around, read the news, hear the fears, and think, “what is our world coming to?” Or, even scarier, “what kind of place will my children or grandchildren have?”. Well, people of the magnificent Highlands, tonight I can rest easy. From Lori Blum who galvanized us to be “carolers”, to every man, woman and child that came, we sang our way through the area with real seasonal joy. We laughed, we joked, we sang for our neighbors. We sang for people in their cars. We sang for those that came outside to hear us. We sang for babies that bounced while celebrating their first winter holidays. We sang with the children that came out of their house to sing with us. And to the parents, grandparents, in-laws, neighbors and friends that added their voices to our’s along the way - you have reassured me we live in a special place, in a special time, with very, very special people. May we all have wonderful holidays and may 2O25 fall gently on all our shoulders and grant us peace.”
